Veriquality upholds stictly our Code of Ethics
QUALITY. VALUE. INTEGRITY.
CODE OF ETHICS
In performing quality control services, Veriquality, its employees, clients, vendors, and factories must strictly follow this Code of Ethics and the related compliance principles outlined in manuals, procedures, and contracts. We require all employees to sign this policy document as a condition of employment. Additionally, vendors and factories receiving services must acknowledge their understanding of this policy.
If any factory or vendor encounters a Veriquality employee or representative who requests or implies a reward, gift, or favor in exchange for special treatment, they must immediately notify Veriquality management by phone. Under no circumstances should a factory or vendor fulfill such a request.
Integrity and Anti-bribery
Veriquality holds all personnel to the highest ethical standards. Any employee found violating this code will face strict disciplinary action, which may include dismissal.
All the employees of Veriquality must never accept bribes, gifts, or favors of any kind. If an employee receives such an offer, they are required to report it to management immediately. Employees should politely decline minor offerings such as individual cigarettes, tea, coffee, or gum, except for water.
Veriquality prohibits (a) the offering, giving, or accepting of a bribe in any form, including kickbacks on any portion of a contract payment, (b) the use of other routes or channels for provision of improper benefits to, or (c) receipt of improper benefits from customers, agents, contractors, suppliers, employees of any such party or government officials.
All the Veriquality’s inspectors and auditors must conduct the services professionally, impartially, and independently. Employees must report all data, test results, and findings accurately and honestly, regardless of the outcome. Any deviation from approved methods or inaccurate reporting will not be tolerated. Veriquality employees and the factories/vendors we work with must always act in good faith. They must never influence the results of a service for personal gain or company benefit (e.g., manipulating results to encourage more work).
Veriquality and its employees will comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and legal requirements in the countries where we operate.
Communication and Reporting
Veriquality fosters open and honest communication between staff and management. We encourage employees to express any concerns, problems, or personal issues they feel need to be addressed. If an employee is unsure whether there has been a violation of our Code of Ethics, they must consult with their team leader or senior management. All communications will be kept confidential, within reasonable bounds, to protect the source of information.
Employees are required to inform management of any conditions that may harm the environment, pose health or safety risks, or represent a violation of law or ethical standards. Veriquality provides a confidential reporting mechanism for such issues.
All Veriquality work is subject to periodic audits by trained personnel to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies. When necessary, corrective actions will be implemented promptly, monitored, tracked, and reviewed by Veriquality.
Veriquality employees are prohibited from engaging in the following activities with personnel from any vendor or factory where we provide services (even if the employee is not directly involved in the services):
- Consuming alcohol or participating in leisure activities like KTV, karaoke, sightseeing, or sports.
- Any activity outside the scope of the professional services Veriquality provides.
While we prioritize customer satisfaction, Veriquality will not compromise ethical standards, legal obligations, or company policies to meet customer demands. Any attempt to bypass these standards must be reported to Veriquality executive management, either through normal channels or confidential reporting facilities. Additionally, Veriquality will only represent a client’s interests when those interests are fair and reasonable. We will not support or impose unfair or unreasonable demands on any factory or vendor.
Vendor/Factory Disagreement
Vendors and factories have the right to respectfully disagree with a Veriquality result or procedure and may provide explanations or evidence to support their position. Veriquality will make every effort to document these explanations and communicate them to the client. If a vendor or factory disagrees, they are encouraged to submit their remarks on the appropriate acknowledgment form for review by the client. Vendors and factories may also directly contact Veriquality management to express their concerns.
However, vendors and factories must never raise their voices, forcibly argue, or threaten Veriquality auditors or employees in any way in an attempt to influence the outcome of a service.
Confidentiality
Veriquality commits to maintaining the confidentiality of all data and information related to our clients or their products. This information may only be shared with parties directly involved in providing services, such as the factories or consultants working with us. All such information will be treated as business confidential, except when it is already publicly available or disclosed.
Conflict of Interest
Veriquality and its employees must avoid situations that create a conflict of interest with our mission. Employees are prohibited from engaging in personal business transactions with any factory, vendor, client, or supplier that we do business with unless explicit written consent is provided by Veriquality executive management. This prohibition extends to buying, selling, providing services for, or working on behalf of any such entities.
Meal Policy
In most cases, Veriquality employees will eat on their own, separate from factory personnel. If a factory provides lunch to a Veriquality employee on-site, they may do so at their discretion. However, the factory is not required to offer this, and employees are prohibited from requesting it.
Transportation Policy
Veriquality employees generally use their own vehicles or public transportation to travel to and from factory locations. In some cases, the factory may assist with transportation, such as picking up or dropping off employees at local bus stations, train stations, or airports. However, employees should avoid making unreasonable transportation demands. When safe and secure public transportation is available (e.g., buses or trains), employees should prioritize these options. Vendors and factories should act in good faith and consider the well-being of Veriquality employees, especially in remote or unfamiliar locations.
