What is Quality Inspection?
In a demanding consumer market, manufacturers and retailers must prioritize product quality and safety to attract customers. However, the diversified supply chains presents challenges for ensuring compliance and maintaining high-quality products.
To ensure the bulk production adheres to the required specifications and defined quality standards, we provide comprehensive inspection services throughout the entire production process, including pre-shipment inspection, in-line inspection, initial production inspection, container loading supervision, production monitoring, and Amazon FBA inspection.
Initial Production Check (IPC)
An Initial Production Check, also called Pre-Production Inspection (PPI) or First Articles Inspection (FAI), will ensure your specifications are understood by the factory and to prevent any potential flaws in the production resources, materials, schedules, management and more.
In-line Inspection (DUPRO)
Also called inline inspection, is performed the production is 15-50% completed. It allows buyers to verify the production progress, and identify any defects and causes, as they’re occurring, to prevent epidemic problem in the final bulk products.
Production Monitoring (PM)
Production Monitoring is to place an inspector on your factory floor to oversee production continuously, making sure your specifications and requirements are followed by factory thoroughout production and alerting customers of any potential or existing issues for further action.
Pre-shipment Inspection (PSI)
A Pre-shipment Inspection is performed when production is 100% finished and packing is 80% finished. It is the last defense line to ensure the products have been manufactured match the Client’s specifications and packed ready to ship, thus preventing epidemically defective goods from being shipped.
Container Loading Supervision (CLS)
Container Loading Supervision provides reassurance that your finished goods are handled correctly when loaded into containers to ensure safe transportation and delivery to their final destination in a satisfactory condition.
So, how do we conduct a quality inspection?
Normally, our third-party quality inspection, conducted on-site at factory premises, adheres to AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) standards, the international benchmark for sampling inspection. A standard inspection typically cover the following checks:
• Quantity verification (semi, finished and packed).
• Workmanship and Finishing (visual check to identify defects for further actions, e.g. rework, replacement, rejection).
• Product Conformity checks against tech packs, PP comments, approved sample (material, construction, dimensions, colors).
• Functions as intended and as per specifications
• Packing method and quality, assortment, marking, and labeling.
• All applicable Field Tests and Measurements (size measurement, assembly test, loading test, humidity test, etc.). *
• Customers’ special attention points
Sampling Procedures
For all non-food product inspections, we adopt the internationally recognized statistical sampling standard ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 (ISO 2859-1). This method guarantees an unbiased sample, independent of the supplier’s selective provision. Sample size and acceptance criteria are determined in line with the AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit) international standard.
