During Production Inspection
Also called inline inspection, is performed the production is 15-50% completed. It allows buyers to verify the production progress, and identify any defects and causes, as they’re occurring, to prevent epidemic problem in the final bulk products.
What is an During Production Chck (DPC)?
During Production Check (DUPRO), sometimes referred to as Inline Inspection, is performed when 10-50% of the production is completed. The inspection randomly selects units from all completed batches to ensure that your factory is adhering to your original specifications and keeping production on schedule.
By using the internationally recognized ANSI/ASQC Z1.4 (ISO 2859-1) statistical sampling procedure, the inspection covers functionality, performance, durability, overall appearance, and dimension. Inspection certificates may be issued upon request in the letter of credit. This rigorous quality control process ensures that your production stays on track and meets your expectations.
How do we perform an Inline Inspection?
- Quantity verification (semi-finished, finished and packed).
- Workmanship and Finishing (visual check to identify defects for further actions, e.g. rework, replacement, rejection).
- Product Conformity against tech packs, PP comments, approved sample (construction, dimensions, colors).
- Functionalities as intended and as per design specifications
- Packing method and quality, assortment, marking, and labeling.
- All applicable Field Tests and Measurements (size measurement, assembly test, loading test, safety test, etc.). * Customers’ special attention points
Why do you need a During Production Inspection?
A minor error early in the production process can have severe consequences for the entire batch. By performing during-production quality control checks, these programs help prevent defects and ensure consistent quality throughout the production process, enabling companies to meet their goals effectively.
For instance, a few of the benefits of DPC are being listed below:
- Identify quality issues early when you can make amends
- Manage production schedule more effectively
- Make adjustments to the manufacturing process to prevent continued issues
- Avoid monetary losses due to rework or return
- Increase customer satisfaction with high-quality on-time delivery
